Laura Deming, BSCE

Ms. Laura Deming is a certified Allied Healthcare practioner for stereotactic brain surgery computer imaging. Ms. Deming received her B.S.C.E. degree from the University of New Mexico and specializes in computer engineering and software design. She is a member of the I.E.E.E. Computer Society, the Society of Women Engineers and the Eta Kappa Nu International Electrical/Computer Honor Society. She is also a member of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (for brain radiation therapy). Ms. Deming has widely published in refereed neurosurgical journals and presented at national and international neurosurgical societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgery, and the International Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. She has several book chapters on the subject of computerized imaging and brain mapping for neurosurgery, and image-guided surgery. Ms. Deming is the co-inventor of five patents related to computerized brain imaging and simulation, 3-dimensional laser localization systems, radiation therapy optimization and microsurgical robotics. Ms. Deming has a hospital association at Alvarado Hospital Medical Center and Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California.
