Christopher H. Glazener, MD

Dr. Glazener is a board certified anesthesiologist and is also certified as an anesthesiologist specializing in pain management. Dr. Glazener received his B.A. degree from the University of California, San Diego and completed medical school at the Universidad LaSalle, in Mexico City. Dr. Glazener did an internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center, and went on to finish a residency in anesthesiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He later completed fellowships in pain management at the University of Virginia Medical Center and Pediatric Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Glazener has previously held an academic position as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Director Pain Management Center, Yale University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology as an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. Dr. Glazener is an active member of nationally recognized professional medical societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiology and the International Anesthesia Society. He has been active in scientific presentations. Dr. Glazener practices in San Diego, California, with hospital affiliations at Alvarado Hospital Medical Center, Sharp/Grossmont Hospital and Scripps/Mercy Hospitals. Dr. Glazener practices anesthesiology and has a special interest in the management of pain disorders. His pain management practice includes medication and injection therapy for the treatment of various pain disorders and also as an adjunct to diagnostic determination of segmental pain problems. Commonly treated pain problems include neck and back problems with or without particular symptoms, sympathetic dystrophies, herpetic neuralgia and cancer pain. Dr. Glazener is fluent in English and Spanish.
