Dr. Hon is a certified physician of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Hon graduated from the University of California, San Diego and Baylor University with a BS in Biology. She completed her medical school training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and went on to do an internship in Primary Care and Internal Medicine at Yale University. Dr. Hon next completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Hon has had extensive training and experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation therapy, and has a comprehensive background in sports medicine, rheumatology, prosthetics/orthotics, cancer rehabilitation, and traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, as well as, occupational medicine. She has presented topics in rehabilitation therapy at various professional organizations and she is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, and the Association of Academic Physiatrics. Dr. Hon has an active practice in San Diego, CA with hospital affiliations at Grossmont Hospital, Alvarado Hospital Medical Center, San Diego Rehabilitation Institute, and the UCSD-Orthopedic Department.
